There are ramen shops near Kaminarion gate.

"Menya Musashi Edokin" is one of my favorite ramen shop.

You can find "Edokin" near Asakusa station.

It is right next to "FamilyMart (convenience store)".

Eat sushi standing up

There's another "Maguro-bito" near Asakusa station.

If you go to Asakusa by train, you can find it soon.

It is a very small standing-up-eating sushi bar, but you will have fresh and delicious sushi at the bar.

You may not speak japanese well. so, you will point a finger at anything you want. 

You can have sushi cheaply.

Sushi-go-around

There are many sushi bar near Kaminamon, Asakusa."Maguro-bito" is sushi-go-around restaurant near Starbucks.

You should wait in a queue, but you can have sushi cheaply at sushi-go-around restaurant.

You just choice any passing sushi plate in front of you.

Sushi bar next to Starbucks

There's a sushi bar right next to Starbucks near Kaminarimon.

"Sushisen" is  a 24 hour sushi bar.

You can have a lunch set menu.

It begin serving lunch from 11：00 to 13：30.

"Chirashi-gozen" is my favorite lunch menu.

I think it is delicious and fair price.

Starbucks near Kaminarimon Gate

Come to think of it, there's a Starbucks Coffee near Kaminarimon Gate.

It opens from 7:00 to 22:00 everyday.

Many people walk into the shop and have a coffee break .

Sanja Matsuri ＜三社祭＞

The Sanja Matsuri (the Sanja Festival) was held on May 18.
The festival is held on the third weekend of every May.
It is one of the great festival in Tokyo.
During the festival, Many people parade Asakusa town carrying the mikoshi on their own shoulders.
The mikoshi is a portable shrine.

The life of a cherry blossom

The life of a cherry blossom is very short.
Now,the season for cherry-blossom viewing is over.The picture shows one of them at the perfect time.

Senso-ji is illuminated.

The Nakamise shopping arcade leads up to Senso-ji temple starts after the Kaminarimon gate.
There are many people t in the daytime.
but in the evening, there are a few people taking a walk .

Sensō-ji is an ancient Buddhist temple located in Asakusa.

Recently, temples and street are lit up at night.

The Sumida river runs along the east side of Asakusa.

You can take a relaxing walk beside the river.

Usually, I jog along the Sumida river.

Beautiful cherry blossoms

The cherry blossoms are in full bloom.

I feel so happy to see them.

Sumida park is one of best cherry blossom viewing spots in Asakusa.

Many people are now enjoying cherry-blossom viewing.

Kaminarimon gate.

The Kaminarimon is known as the face of Asakusa,Tokyo.
It is a large entrance gate that leads to the Senso-ji temple.

Spring has come.
The cherry blossoms are at their best this week in asakusa.
I start this blog from today.
